Apartments became popular in the Philippines not only because of its affordability, but also because of its location. Most apartments are usually found inside or near major business districts or commercial areas. However, new types of housing has been introduced in the Philippines which are similar with apartments but offered a more permanent residence to its occupants. These types of apartments are known as condominiums.

Condominiums were introduced in the Philippines as a new type of housing for Filipinos. According to many, it was the perfect type of housing to accommodate the changing needs and lifestyles of Filipinos all over Philippines, particularly in Metro Manila. So what are the things that made condominium popular?

The goodThe main advantage of condominiums from apartments is its permanence in residence. Apartments became popular because of its affordability, however, apartments can only provide a temporary state of residence. These types of housing doesn’t also protect its residents from eviction. Condominiums, on the other hand, is like owning a house which looks like an apartment unit. However, like apartments, condominiums are also known for its other benefits.

Similar to apartments, most condominiums are also found inside or near major business districts, such as the many makati condo. This gives its residents the luxury of living within walking distance to their workplaces. Another popular advantage of these types of condominiums, such as the many towering makati condo, is its luxurious built.

However, other than its location, newer types of condominiums are also found in a more peaceful place, such as in the outskirts or in provincial areas. Similar to the luxurious townhouse complexes, condominium complexes are also known for its amenities such as swimming pools, gyms, and recreational parks. And because of its location, condominium complexes are also perfect for a growing family compared to those found in the cities.

The Edge and Town Square Present ‘SummerStarz 2010′, Music and Film Outdoor Summer Series

For the sixth consecutive year, Town Square is presenting free summer entertainment for children and families. Starting July 8th, Town Square, along with Williamsburg’s hottest condominium development, The Edge, and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will host SummerStarz, an outdoor film and music series at exciting East River State Park on the Brooklyn waterfront.
Each Thursday in July and August, SummerStarz invites everyone from Edge buyers to music aficionados and film buffs to enjoy a free live musical performance at 7 pm, followed by a family-friendly film screening at sunset. For those with younger children, residents are encouraged to arrive early for the Kids Hour at 6 pm, which offers an assortment of activities including arts & crafts, music and games.

My parents and I are moving to Washington DC next year and were looking for a place to live. One place they really like in particular is a condo on the top floor of a hotel. The condo is beautiful, but I am very concerned with the noise level. Does anyone with experience with this sort of thing know if the noise level on top of a hotel would be a problem? Thanks in advance.
I’ll be going to Georgetown Day School, so that won’t be a problem, I know the public schools are awful. It’s pretty sad.

If you are on the top floor, noise should not be a problem. There will not be anyone living above you, and the street noises should not be noticeable.
The schools in DC are poor so that could be a problem.
